The furniture in this spacious room was crafted by our own joinery using the original yellowwood beams of the old hotel. Gentle autumn colours, the worn old floorboards and a skylight over the shower makes this twin bedroom something special. Adjoining the ‘Summer’ suite to create perfect family accommodation.

Farmer

Furnished completely from second hand finds from the area, as most of The Duke’s rooms are, Farmer has all the charm and character of a Karoo farmhouse including wide shared verandah, a large roll top bath and a wood burning stove to warm you in winter. The two single beds can be converted to create a king. Farmer is one of four private rooms, ‘The Quarters’, that are tucked at the bottom of The Duke’s garden and are perfect for a getaway for a group of
friends or colleagues

Fisherman

As rustic and memorable as Farmer, Fisherman has its own unique charm and is decorated using reclaimed materials from the original Victorian cottage which was transformed into the accommodation that now makes up The Quarters. The Quarters are four private rooms tucked at the bottom of The Duke’s garden which are perfect for a getaway for a group of friends or colleagues. The king bed can be converted to create twin beds.
